Dragon Called: (ShapeShifter Paranormal Romance) Review

  • Grace: Has been adrift since she lost her entire family in a tragic accident. Time can’t seem to heal her wounds as she wanders from one job to the next. Every night in her sleep she has vivid dreams of a man she has never met. She feels her dreams are the only thing keeping her sane.
  • Nathaniel: Ruler of half the worlds dragons. For years all of the dragons have been without mates and a long and bloody war has been taking its toll on their ranks while no new children are being born, but all of that is about to change if Nathaniel can manage to find Grace before his enemies do.
  • Grace is Dragon Called, destined to become bonded to a dragon and, at the moment, she is the only one in the world who can become a dragon’s mate. Can Nathaniel find her before it is too late? If he does, will Grace even be willing to let someone new into her shattered heart?

“Dragon Called is just long and enjoyable for an afternoon break. However, it is hot and steamy to be enjoyed with caution. This is one of the better short stories I have read and in doing so I am giving this 5/5 stars with the recommendation that the book is going on my reread self.” By Misty Iputi

“As the story goes, it’s not bad. The predictable plot moves along at breakneck pace, which doesn’t allow for much in the way of character development. The story jumps in places, but they’re not confusing jumps–just places where opportunities to expand upon the story are lost. I didn’t feel a real connection between the main characters; there wasn’t that much interaction. Background information could have been integrated more gracefully, but it was handled better than many books I’ve read lately. Some editing glitches indicate the need for another round of proofreading.

In short, it wasn’t bad. I’ve read worse, much worse. But I’ve read much better, too.” By Karen Smith
